Five Vietnamese Universities Ranked in QS World University Rankings 2024
The Duy Tan University is ranked 514 in the QS World University Rankings 2024. The Ton Duc Thang University is placed in the range of 721-730, while the Vietnam National University (VNU) – Hanoi and VNU – Ho Chi Minh City are in the range of 951-1000. The Hanoi University of Science and Technology is categorized as 1201-1400.
The QS World University Rankings 2024 includes a total of 1,499 universities from 104 countries and territories. Out of these, 83 universities are entering the list for the first time. Malaysia has the highest number of ranked universities in Southeast Asia, with 28 universities. Indonesia follows with 26, Thailand has 13, Vietnam has 5, the Philippines has 5, Singapore has 4, and Brunei has 2.
Singapore, despite having only four universities on the list, is still considered a leading position in the region with two universities named in the top 30 in the world.
Duy Tan University
Duy Tan University is located in Da Nang, Vietnam. It is the first and largest private, multidisciplinary, and diversified institution in Central Vietnam. The university offers a wide range of academic programs including Information Technology, Business Management, Foreign Languages, Tourism, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Medicine, Pharmacology, Literature and Journalism, International Relations, Cultural Tourism, and Economic Law.

Ton Duc Thang University
Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) is a young and aspiring university in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Established in 1997, TDTU has become one of the largest and fastest-growing universities in Vietnam. It has over 25,000 students and 1,300 faculty members. TDTU has five campuses located in different parts of Vietnam.
TDTU has four other campuses besides the main campus in Ho Chi Minh City. It offers a wide range of interdisciplinary programs and has been focusing on research, high-quality training, and internationalization. TDTU provides scholarships for university students to help them improve their knowledge and lives.
Vietnam National University (VNU)
Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) is the first modern university established in Vietnam. It is one of the two national universities in the country. VNU is the largest comprehensive higher education and research center in Vietnam, entrusted with the task of producing highly qualified human resources and talents for the industrialization and modernization of the country. VNU holds a special position in Vietnam’s higher education system and operates according to a special regulation promulgated by the Prime Minister.
VNU has undergone various stages of development since its establishment in 1906. It is a leading higher education and research institution in Vietnam, producing highly qualified graduates in various fields.
Hanoi University of Science and Technology
Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) is Vietnam’s first multidisciplinary technical university. Established in 1956, HUST has played a crucial role in the country’s industrialization and modernization processes. It offers a wide range of technical programs and has a strong focus on research and high-quality training.
