Not only popular among Korean travelers, but Nha Trang also offers relatively inexpensive flights for expats based in South Korea, making it easily accessible. The magazine highlights five enthralling reasons why Nha Trang should be on the travel itinerary of tourists.
Nha Trang boasts stunning beaches with soft white sands and crystal-clear turquoise waters. Tran Phu Beach, lined with palm trees and high-end resorts, is perfect for a leisurely stroll. For a more secluded experience, visitors can explore Bai Dai Beach, known as the “Long Beach,” offering tranquility and picturesque views.
Haps also recommends exploring the vibrant underwater world of Nha Trang, known for its colorful coral reefs and diverse marine life. The Hon Mun Marine Protected Area is a paradise for snorkelers and scuba diving enthusiasts.
Furthermore, Nha Trang showcases its rich cultural heritage through ancient landmarks and temples. The Po Nagar Cham Towers, dating back to the 7th century, are a fascinating testament to the region’s Cham civilization. Visitors can also climb the 152 steps of the Long Son Pagoda to reach a giant white Buddha statue and enjoy panoramic views of the city.
For adrenaline junkies, Nha Trang offers an array of thrilling water activities such as jet skiing, parasailing, and flyboarding. The favorable wind conditions and blue skies make it an excellent destination for windsurfing and kitesurfing, according to the Korean magazine.

Nha Trang is known for its unique cuisine, particularly its delectable seafood and local dishes. From fresh seafood markets to charming street food stalls, the city offers a wide variety of culinary delights. Haps suggests trying the famous Nha Trang grilled fish noodles, succulent lobsters and prawns prepared in various styles, and the local favorite “Nem Nuong,” a savory grilled pork sausage served with rice paper and fresh herbs.
Lastly, the article concludes by emphasizing not to miss out on trying Vietnam’s famous coffee.
In a survey conducted by the UK luxury holiday company Destination2, Nha Trang Beach and Vung Tau Beach in Vietnam ranked third and fourth, respectively, out of the 10 most popular beaches in the world based on the number of views on TikTok. The survey results released on cnbc.com reveal that Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia, topped the list.
Vietnam is an important market for South Korea’s tourism industry. Despite the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, as of early June, South Korea welcomed 163,000 tourist arrivals from Vietnam, equivalent to 73% of the same period in 2019. The Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO) Vietnam aims to attract nearly 400,000 Vietnamese visitors this year, accounting for 70% of the pre-pandemic level.
As 2023 marks the start of the Visit Korea Year 2023 – 2024 with the theme of “Ride the Korean Wave,” KTO Vietnam has organized various tourism promotion programs.
