Vietnam team captain becomes female player with most Golden Ball awards

Last year, Nhu reached the record for the most Golden Ball awards won by a female player, previously held by Doan Thi Kim Chi and Pham Thanh Luong, who also claimed four awards in the male category. The female striker, now playing for Portugal’s Lank FC, was earlier named the Vietnam Golden Ball winner in 2016, 2019, 2020, and 2021.
