Vietnamese National Assembly Leaders Receive Noble Awards from Cuba
Cuba Awards Noble Medals to Leaders of the Vietnamese National Assembly
The ceremony was attended by Politburo member, Chairman of the National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue and Politburo member, Chairman of the National Assembly of the People’s Government of the Republic of Cuba Esteban Lazo Hernandez. The ceremony was held to recognize and honor important contributions in promoting bilateral relations between the two countries and between the two Congresses.
At the ceremony, Chairman of the Cuban National Assembly Esteban Lazo Hernandez respectfully awarded the Carlos Manuel de Cesesspespeedes Medal to National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue; awarded the Ana Betancourt Medal to former National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan; awarded the Solidarity Medal to Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man and former Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tong Thi Phong; awarded the Friendship Medal to Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong, General Secretary of the National Assembly, Chairman of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam – Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Group Vu Hai Ha.
Speaking at the Awarding Ceremony, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue respectfully thanked the Party and State of Cuba; affirming that the awarding of noble medals by the Cuban Party and State today is an honor for the individuals being awarded. This is also an honor for the National Assembly, the people, and generations of leaders of the National Assembly of Vietnam who have worked hard to cultivate and contribute to tightening the relationship of “exemplary brotherhood, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and faithful solidarity” between the two Parties, the two States and the two peoples throughout the 63 years since the two countries established diplomatic relations.
National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue stated that the 50th anniversary of Leader Fidel Castro’s historic visit to the Liberation Zone of Southern Vietnam is an opportunity to honor fraternal solidarity special friendship, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba.
Chairman Hue affirmed that the Party, State, and People of Vietnam always cultivate solidarity for the just revolutionary cause of the fraternal Cuban people. The National Assembly and the People of Vietnam are determined to join the National Assembly and the Cuban People in constantly making efforts to cultivate so that the precious legacy of the special relationship between Vietnam and Cuba will forever be continued by the Vietnamese and Cuban generations.
The Chairman affirmed that leaders honored to be awarded noble medals by the Cuban Party and State today, regardless of their working position, will always make contributions to continuing and strengthening the friendship and invaluable special solidarity between the Parties, States, and People of the two countries.
National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue firmly believes that the Cuban people will continue the ideology and legacy of Leader Fidel Castro, under the guidance of Revolutionary Leader Raul Castro and the leadership of the Communist Party to overcome all difficulties and challenges and win many new and greater victories on the chosen path.
